The material node describes the rendering properties of a surface or a volume. This includes the line, displace and surface shaders. If you double click on a material, you will enter the shader editor of this material.
Surface Name
Surface name of the shader. When using a procedural geometry, set this name to the expected Surface name, so the geometry is correctly assigned to the surface shader.
Displacement Name
Displacement name of the shader. When using a procedural geometry, set this name to the expected Displacement name, so the geometry is correctly assigned to the displacement shader.
